Christ the King
My favorite thing is the people. The friends and extended family we have made through our time at Christ The King are very dear to us. Our kids were raised there and received their sacraments at CTK. Our faith and our lives have been enriched through our years at CTK. It is a wonderful community to be a part of.
I am a trustee of CTK parish. As part of my duties I have become part of the Liverpool Catholic Community. I must tell you that the people from other parishes that I have come to know and work alongside have been amazing. I have new friends and associates, all of whom are working to keep the Catholic faith strong in the Liverpool area, and the diocese as well. These are trying times for our church, and there is strength in numbers. When we combine our talents and resources we can make our faith community stronger, and able to provide programs that help enrich our faith, as well as help those in need. I will say that anyone who feels they have something to offer, or just longing for a place to worship, to look us up! You won't be disappointed.

Christ the King
My wife Sharon and I moved to Sunflower Drive from Solvay in 1989. From there, we attended Mass often at IHC. Sharon's uncle was a priest who spent some time at SJW filling in. We moved to Bayberry in 1996, where we joined CTK. I had family at PJXXIII and shared as their children fulfilled their sacraments as they grew up. Unbeknownst to us, we were active participants in the LCC before there was an LCC. We are proud to be of some service and to be served in our parish and in our community.
I am inspired by the many people who give of themselves to help others. The Liverpool Catholic Community is comprised of those who not only hear the Gospel but place those holy words into action. God's gifts are there for all to see.

Christ the King
My grandson, who will be seven in December, was Baptized at Christ the King Church. I was a new parishioner, and I was very shy. Many parishioners greeted me at the Baptism, after Mass, and welcomed me to Christ the King Parish.
As I started to attend Mass each week, I was overwhelmed by the parishioners who made me feel like I was home. Several parishioners introduced me to others, and I was challenged to remember all the names.
As I travel now within the Liverpool Catholic Community, I find the same welcoming in all the Church sites. If someone does not know me, they walk up and introduce themselves. I will do the same. I believe the LCC has become a family, and we are all very welcoming.
