Christ the King and Pope John XXIII run a combined Faith Formation program -
students from both parishes are in classes together.
We are 2 Parishes - but one community coming together united by one faith.

Be Sure To Choose the Correct Form
To avoid confusion created by our previous registration forms,
we are using two separate forms this year:Regular Faith Formation ClassesSacramental Preparation ClassesThis does mean that families registering children for both Regular and Sacramental classes
will need to complete both forms.
However, we hope it is less confusing overall.

Sacramental PreparationDiocesan Sacrament Guidelines for First Reconciliation/First Communion
- The child is expected to have participated in parish faith formation or Catholic school religious education classes before he/she begins the direct preparation for the Sacrament of Penance and the Sacrament of Eucharist.
- The child is expected to have been previously involved in the liturgical life of the parish faith community by regular attendance at Sunday Eucharist with his/her parents/guardians.
Diocesan Sacrament Guidelines for Confirmation
- The candidate is expected to have been previously involved in both the liturgical and sacramental life of the faith community and in an on-going process of faith formation.
Students may begin preparation for Confirmation in 9th grade. Typically it is a two year process - but may take up to four if needed. Classes meet once a month on Sundays.

Regular Faith Formation Classes
Our Faith Formation Program includes traditional grade level class instruction as well as monthly Family Nites. Our faith has always believed that children need to receive their Faith from their family. You can learn more about why we take a Family Approach to Faith Formation HERE.
Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade classes meet on Sunday mornings at PJXXIII. The sessions end in time for families to attend the 10:30am Mass if they wish. Our Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) also takes place during that Mass. You can learn more about CLOW HERE.
Grades 3-4 classes and their monthly Family Nites meet Monday evenings at CTK.
Grades 5-8 classes and their monthly Family Nites meet Thursday evenings at PJXXIII.
